Unmanned aerial vehicles include logistics unmanned aerial vehicles, surveying and mapping unmanned aerial vehicles and formation performance unmanned aerial vehicles. In the operation process, due to the complex and changeable environment of unmanned aerial vehicles and the difficulty of control, technology is needed to provide real-time and stable ranging and altitude setting flight functions for unmanned aerial vehicles, so that they can safely and freely complete flight work in changeable environment. Height setting is very important.
1. The accuracy of the barometer and GPS near the ground is very poor. If there is no technology to provide an effective height reference, the UAV will lose both eyes, which is very prone to accidents and cause property damage;
2. Install expensive surveying and mapping equipment such as surveying and mapping drones. If there is no ranging equipment to assist the UAV to land and maintain its overall stability, it is likely to encounter a sudden impact and be unable to deal with it, causing damage to the UAV itself or the mounted equipment;
In order to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the UAV, it is essential to have a "smart eye" to sense the environment. At present, there are many kinds of obstacle detection methods:
1. Lidar: The optical signal emitted by the transmitting end is reflected by the object and received by the receiving end. According to the phase difference or time difference between the received signal and the transmitted signal, the distance to the obstacle can be converted. The measurement distance is long, the field of view is small, and the false alarm rate is low. The solution has been applied to a certain extent in the products on the market.
Two. Ultrasonic ranging: Calculate the distance based on the time difference between sound wave emission and return. The advantage is that the technology is mature and the cost is low; but the disadvantage is that the range of action is short, the beam angle is too large, and false alarms are prone to occur, and there are certain requirements for the reflective surface.
Three. Vision: The camera is used to identify images or distances, and binocular vision solutions can also obtain depth images of obstacles. The disadvantage is that the accuracy is low and it is easily disturbed by the environment.
The major technologies are useful in drones, and the application scenarios are different. But in general, the measurement accuracy, measurement frequency, anti-jamming ability and ranging performance of lidar are obviously better than other products. Now the products are becoming more and more mature, the price of lidar is becoming more and more competitive, and the cost performance is also higher.
