When an obstacle is detected, the flight controller automatically commands the drone to hover or adjust its flight path, ensuring safe and continuous operation.

Obstacle Avoidance for UAV: Typical Installation Methods of VB50A
1. Top Installation
The LiDAR can be integrated with a servo module to form a single unit.
By controlling the rotation of the servo, the VB50A performs single-point scanning, enabling dynamic obstacle detection during flight.

2. Embedded Multi-Directional Installation

The VB50A series LiDAR sensors can also be embedded into the drone fuselage for fixed installation. Multiple sensors can be arranged in different directions to achieve comprehensive obstacle detection.

Typical configurations include:
Six-direction installation: Sensors mounted on the top, bottom, left, right, front, and rear sides of the drone, enabling full spatial obstacle detection.

Four-direction installation: Sensors mounted on the front, rear, left, and right sides of the drone, providing multi-directional obstacle avoidance.
